  • Costs & Electives

    You choose your desired festival content from the following performance options and itinerary electives.

    Costs are listed per person for each itinerary elective.

    • $75 20 minutes for your choir along on stage at Lisner Auditorium adjudicated by members of our award-winning guest faculty (requires a minimum of 40 singers)
    • $30 one-hour private ensemble clinic for your choir with one of our guest faculty*
    • $20 festival chorus rehearsal and performance on the Lisner Auditorium stage conducted by our composer-in-residence, Dr. Z. Randall Stroope, presenting his new piece written for CODA*
    • $50 20 minutes of stage time at Lisner Auditorium for ensembles with less than 40 singers that combine with other smaller choirs to form a CODA Chorus for rehearsal and performance conducted by Dr. Brad Holmes
    • $15 festival chorus rehearsal and performance on stage conducted by Dr. Brad Holmes presenting a concert closer
    • $35 20-minute private vocal coaching for individual singers with one singer chosen to perform on stage at Lisner Auditorium during festival
    • $25 one-hour lecture discussion with composer-in-residence, Dr. Z. Randall Stroope, for students and teachers*
    • $35 90-minute conducting masterclass with Dr. Brad Holmes for students and teachers*
    • CEUs 10 hours of continued education credit for participants that attend starred items and the festival performance

    Included in All Festivals

    • STAFF: Professional production team, performance and venue management: house management, box office, and official program including all ensemble participants
    • EXPERIENCE: Performance at Lisner Auditorium covered by official photographer, all participants hear the performance of other choirs from across the United States in assigned house seats
    • PREPARATION: Festival chorus development, rehearsal space, professional collaborative pianist
    • DIRECTORS & CHAPERONES: No fee (up to 1 per 10)
    • POST-CONCERT: One archival audio recording of your performance, identification and souvenir lanyard for each participant, commemorative plaque for each ensemble, and photographs available for purchase

    Saturday, April 10, 2021
    Private Clinics, Coaching Sessions, and Masterclasses

    • Elected one-hour private clinic for your choir with award-winning guest faculty
    • Two-hour rehearsal of those students electing participation in CODA Chorus (combined ensembles who have less than 40 singers) with Dr. Brad Holmes
    • Elected one-hour festival chorus rehearsal with Dr. Z. Randall Stroope preparing the new piece written by him for CODA
    • Elected one-hour festival chorus rehearsal of an established concert-closing piece with Dr. Brad Holmes
    • Individual singers may elect a 20-minute coaching session with a professional singer; coaches will select one singer to perform as a finalist on stage at Lisner Auditorium on April 11
    • One-hour lecture discussion with composer-in-residence, Dr. Z. Randall Stroope, for students and teachers
    • 90-minute conducting masterclass with Dr. Brad Holmes for students and teachers

    Performance Day!

    • Festival performance at Lisner Auditorium in the afternoon
    • Elected one-hour festival chorus rehearsal in the morning with Dr. Z. Randall Stroope preparing the new piece written by him for CODA
    • Elected one-hour festival chorus rehearsal of an established concert-closing piece in the morning with Dr. Brad Holmes
    • Performance of the new piece written by Dr. Z. Randall Stroope on stage at Lisner Auditorium by those singers who elected participation in the premiere festival chorus
    • 20-minute individual ensemble performances of choirs with a minimum of 40 singers, adjudicated by members of our award-winning faculty
    • 20-minute performance by CODA Chorus (combined ensembles with less than 40 singers) conducted by Dr. Brad Holmes
    • Solo performance by finalist chosen by vocal coaches
    • Performance of an established concert-closer on stage at Lisner Auditorium by those singers who elected participation in a festival chorus conducted by Dr. Brad Holmes
    • All singers will be seated in the audience to hear the performance of other choirs from across the United States
